Untitled (2025)
Gouache and Colored Pencil in a Handcrafted Wood Frame
♡I used this piece as a study to build upon my figurative style as well as grow in my skills in woodworking as I built this frame. The process starts with a painting, typically done in gouache, and is then brought together by a frame, which starts with wood planks that are then cut, carved, and stained to finalization.
Various Works from Artworks's Splendor in the Grass Exhibition (2025)
♡Working under Julia Lipovsky, we explored themes of reminiscence and nostalgia through journaling and working through past experiences. She encouraged us to paint with intuition, rather than hyperfocus on perfection, which allowed me to let go and fully give myself into the process of navigating my emotions surrounding these experiences.
ነኖእ - No (2025)
Gouache, Acrylic Paint, Ink, and Oil pastel on Raw Canvas in a Handcrafted Wood and Twine frame.
♡This painting was initally made for the Splendor in the Grass exhibition, but didn't end up meeting the theme too well, so I didn't have it shown. Luckily, it was given another life through Red Door's STORYTELLING auction at the Mercantile Library, where it was sold.
