Fountain of Love with Artworks Cincinnati (Sept. 2025)
♡Done during my time as a Mural Studio Artist at Artworks, I had the wonderful opportunity to work on this project, which was done to celebrate the 10 year anniversery of the Obergafell v. Hodges ruling, cementing marriage equality across all 50 states! I worked under Studio Artists Dahlia Wang and Alex Cribbin to transfer Australian-based illustrator, Aley Wild's design onto parachute cloth, which we then attached to the wall using copious amounts of Nova Gel.
Diversity in Science with Artworks Cincinnati (May 2025)
♡Designed by Sherman Parnell, a Cincinnati based artist, we executed this mural for Thermofisher. It was first painted on panels in-studio, led by Lauryn Campbell and Audrey Carranza, then installed on-site. This project was a challenge, as the original design had many digital effects and noise added on top, so we replicated it using sponges and Nova Gel to translate that effect into the real world!
Mural done for Sunday's Art Hub in Kigali, Rwanda (Jan. 2025)
♡This mural was a collaboration with Sundays Art Hub, a gallery and cafe located in Kigali, Rwanda, and it is meant to represent the blending of East African cultures, particularly Habesha and Rwandan culture. From the Umushanana silhouette and the Kedan Habesha textiles, to the henna and neck tattoos (Niksat) that feature Imigongo designs, this mural is meant to celebrate both identities, which speak directly to me as an Ethiopian-Eritrean whose heart is in Rwanda.
Get Out the Vote with OBEY GIANT (Sept. 2024)
♡In Fall 2024, I was recruited by Artworks Cincinnati to work as an assistant to Shepard Fairey and his team at OBEY GIANT for their 'Vote for Justice' mural in OTR as well as various wheatpaste posters across Cincinnati. Here, I learned about the installation of spray paint and wheatpaste murals and was able to participate in an important initiative that encouraged folks to use their civil liberty and vote!
